Founder of The Sustainability Community recognised in leadership awards

Wednesday 17 December

Here at The Sustainability Community (TSC), we are delighted to announce that our Founder and CEO, Kate Hutchinson, has been shortlisted in two categories of the Yorkshire Leadership Awards; Green Leader and Young Leader of the Year.

This double shortlisting recognises Kate’s leadership in building TSC into a fast-growing community with purpose that brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and academics to address the climate crisis.

Since launching TSC in 2023, Kate has led the organisation’s growth into a year-round programme of conferences, festivals, and digital events, supported by a growing team and an active national community focused on turning sustainability ambition into action.

Founder and CEO of TSC, Kate Hutchinson, comments:

“I am incredibly proud to be shortlisted for both Green Leader and Young Leader at the Yorkshire Leadership Awards. To be recognised in these categories is a real honour and reflects the collective effort of the TSC team and our wider community.

“I started TSC to create a platform that brings people together to drive meaningful change. This recognition reinforces the importance of collaboration, leadership, and action. We know that to address the climate crisis our focus must be on inward investment and driving clean industrial growth across the UK.”

The Yorkshire Leadership Awards celebrate individuals who are making a significant impact across the region through leadership, innovation, and positive change. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 12th March 2026, which takes place at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
