The Vegan Society

The Vegan Society is a registered charity and the oldest vegan organisation, founded in the United Kingdom in 1944. The Vegan Society’s mission is to make veganism mainstream – creating a world where humans do not exploit non-human animals and where animals are free to exist in their own right.

The Vegan Society promotes a lifestyle that excludes, as far as possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of – and cruelty to – animals for the purposes of food, clothing or anything else.
