Rick Stafford
Professor of Environmental Policy, Bournemouth University

Rick’s research focusses on predicting the effectiveness of environmental policy and change, covering climate, biodiversity, social science and economic outcomes. Recent work has examined effective governance and management of MPAs (in the UK and internationally), the role of artificial reefs and aquaculture in enhancing biodiversity (with respect to marine infrastructure including breakwaters and offshore wind in the UK, and for localised ecosystem service provision internationally), blue carbon and links from these areas into government policy.
