Head of Group for Energy Efficiency, Renewables and Storage in the Built Environment, Decerna
Phil has over thirteen years of experience in the building services and renewable energy sectors, with deep technical expertise spanning energy performance in the built environment — covering building fabric, building services, industrial equipment, and renewables.
In his current role, he heads Decerna’s work on energy efficiency, renewables, and storage. He plays a pivotal role in BringAbout — a platform and support programme designed to help businesses understand, measure, and reduce their carbon emissions. Phil led the delivery of the Tees Valley Net Zero support under UKSPF funding, during which more than 250 Carbon Reduction Plans were produced, 500 grants of £2,000 were awarded, and sizable carbon savings were achieved across participants.
Phil is committed to helping businesses to decarbonise – through tools like BringAbout and Sustainable Workplace Wins, in-depth energy auditing and hands-on support to reach near- and long-term emissions reduction targets.
