Melanie Kreye

Melanie Kreye is a Chaired Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at the School for Business and Society, University of York. She joined the school from the Technical University of Denmark. Her academic work focuses on sustainable operations and supply chain management with key themes evolving around circularity and waste-based supply chains. Her work focuses on research questions, such as how can circular supply chains be created to regenerate resources from waste.
Other research questions include how do complex service arrangements respond to major (geo-political) disruptions, how do sustainable production practices scale in supply networks. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed international high-quality journals such as the Journal of Operations Management and Production Planning and Control. She is an Associate Editor at the International Journal of Operations & Production Management and a Board member at the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA).
