Marco DeBenedictis

Marco heads the recently formed Corporate Banking Sustainability team, where he manages both relationship loan and trade and working capital sustainability structuring and broader Corporate Banking sustainability risks and opportunities.

In early 2020, Marco founded the Sustainable Product Group after 3 years as chair of the Corporate Banking Sustainability Forum. Under his leadership, the group flourished, and in 2023, Marco’s role expanded to include additional front office loan structuring and transaction management teams. His mission is to integrate sustainable finance into all business lines across the Corporate Bank and its clients.

Marco is a key member of the UK Corporate Management Forum, the UK Sustainable Finance Management Team, the Investment Banking Sustainable Finance Management Team and the Sustainability Review Committee.

Marco holds an Executive MBA with honors distinction from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, where he was recognized as a merit scholar. His extensive experience in building new businesses and his unwavering commitment to advancing the careers of his colleagues uniquely position him to develop, lead, and execute innovative strategic ventures.
