Laura Marsiliani
Associate Dean Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability, Durham University Business School

Laura Marsiliani is the Durham University Business School Associate Dean for Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability (ERS). She is a Professor of Economics and a Director of the Centre for Environmental and Energy Economics (CE3) at Durham University Business School.
She is a Principal Investigator of the interdisciplinary research initiative JusTN0W (Just Transition to a Net Zero World) which explores ways to spearhead a green and fair transition at global, national and local level and includes engagement on capacity building with international stakeholders. She has been part of the Durham University delegation at the latest UN Climate Change Conferences (COPs).
She is a fellow of the Durham Energy Institute (DEI) and her research includes projects on mine water geothermal heat and hydrogen energy systems development. Her latest speaking engagements were at the World Finance Conference 2025 on Sustainable Investment and Kantian Morality and at a DEI policy network event on the Economics of CCUS Technologies.
