Konstantinos Tsavdaridis
Professor of Structural Engineering, City St George's, University of London
Konstantinos Daniel Tsavdaridis is Chair of Structural Engineering in the Department of Engineering at City St George’s, University of London and Head of the Structural Engineering Laboratory. He has made significant contributions to the field of lightweight steel and steel-concrete composite structures. His research focuses on innovative designs for structural forms, seismic behaviour of lightweight structures, and the application of 3D printing in construction.
The recent years he is focusing on the application of AI in the re-design of structures using reused (reclaimed) steel and he is the Founder & Chief Scientist of Efestos Hub – a data company aims to decarbonise AEC through AI.
He is also leading efforts in the UK and Europe for Circular Economy in the Construction sector as expert of the European CEN/TC 350/SC 1 committee.
