Kate McGavin

Kate is Chief Strategy & Policy Officer at the National Wealth Fund, job-sharing with Helen Williams. Kate joined the NWF from Cabinet Office where she was previously Devolution Director. Prior to that she held a range of senior roles in government including sponsoring the creative and cultural sectors, overseeing regulation and policy for the media sector, and developing digital infrastructure policy Kate is Chief Strategy and Policy Officer at the National Wealth Fund, job-sharing with Helen Williams. In 2021 Kate and Helen were part of the founding senior team that established the UK Infrastructure Bank, the predecessor of the National Wealth Fund. They oversee strategy, comms, shareholder relations, and manage the Fund’s interface with government policy to ensure investment supports the Government’s growth and net zero missions. Prior to this Kate worked in a range of senior roles in government.
