JR Candia is Climate Innovation Hub Manager at the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures, where he leads initiatives supporting the scale-up of climate technologies from concept to commercial deployment. He works at the intersection of science, technology, and business to accelerate the adoption of climate solutions.
With more than 25 years of international experience, JR has led over 200 sustainability and innovation projects across government, industry, academia, and the startup ecosystem. His work spans senior management, consultancy, entrepreneurship, mentoring, and advisory roles, supporting multinational companies, SMEs, startups, NGOs, and public institutions.
His expertise includes climate and clean technologies, water management, environmental risk, land remediation, and conservation of biodiversity. JR holds a PhD in Management and has worked across Europe, Latin America, and Oceania.
