John Alker

John has been working in sustainability and policy for over 20 years, most recently as Head of Sustainability Capital Investments within L&G’s Private Markets business, and prior to this as Head of Sustainability for L&G Capital, where he was the strategic lead for sustainability, integrating consideration of impact and ESG across six investment sectors including real estate, clean energy and venture capital. He spent 14 years as a director of the UK Green Building Council – leading many programmes and policy campaigns and before this was on the WWF-UK public affairs team. He is a Trustee of the Quality of Life Foundation, working to embed health and wellbeing into the housing sector.
