The challenges we’re facing require innovative and creative solutions. We need to regenerate:

Our Environment: The UK has been highlighted as having some of the lowest biodiversity in the western world, with only 50% of our biodiversity ecosystem left intact. We must actively restore and renew nature, re-establishing the health and vitality of our ecosystems, for people and the planet.

Our Society: The UK is suffering the worst decline in living standards of any G7 Country and over the last 14 years, the gap between rich and poor in the UK has returned to Victorian levels. We need to revitalise our communities, prioritising equity and human connection, shifting our society from a mindset of individualistic extraction to community based regeneration.

Our Economy: The UK economy has been in decline for at least 15 years, and is now the most unequal major economy in Europe, with declining productivity and investment, caused by political uncertainty and lack of a coherent economic strategy. We must create a long term plan to adapt our economic systems and practices away from extraction towards circularity, actively repairing and supporting equitable growth.

Post-Event Outcomes

ReGeneration Earth 2025 will not only focus on the exchange of ideas but will also emphasise post-conference tangible outcomes to ensure that the momentum generated at the event drives real, measurable change.

Participants will work with Regional and National Action Networks formed during the conference to continue collaboration on specific initiatives, creating a ‘contract for the regions’, with clear action plans and accountability structures.

This approach will include follow-up meetings, workshops, and progress check-ins throughout the year, ensuring that commitments made during the conference lead to concrete progress in the regenerative economy, social equity, and environmental restoration.
