Who We Are

The Sustainability Community is a national network of over 20,000 sustainability business leaders — CEOs, government strategists, investors, community builders, and climate innovators — united by a shared mission: to accelerate the green economy and create a fairer, low-carbon future.

We bring people together across business, government, finance, and civil society to collaborate, learn, and act on the biggest challenges of our time — from clean energy and green skills to circular innovation and sustainable investment.

Our Vision:

To support the UK to reach a national picture of net zero, by growing the green economy, region by region.

Our Mission:

To accelerate the UK’s journey to net zero by connecting people, places, and policies; fostering cross-sector collaboration; and unlocking the investment, innovation, and skills needed to build a fair, thriving, low-carbon future, across the whole of the UK.

What We Do

We create the spaces and platforms where bold ideas turn into practical action. Our work includes:

Nationally focused conferences on energy, finance, skills, food systems, and more, alongside building Europe’s answer to COP, ReGeneration Earth

Regional roundtables and showcases highlighting place-based innovation and investment

A growing membership community that supports professionals across the sustainability spectrum

Year-round content, insights, and campaigns to inform, influence, and inspire

Cross-sector collaboration that turns policy into delivery — and ambition into outcomes

Drive forward inward investment by connecting investors with credible partners, projects, and regional opportunities across the green economy

Why It Matters

We’re not here to host events for the sake of it. We exist to drive impact. That means:

  • Raising visibility for climate tech, place-based regeneration, and circular innovation
  • Unlocking inward investment and connecting capital with green infrastructure and skills
  • Embedding young people, community leaders, and unheard voices in national conversations
  • Creating real-world outcomes — stronger partnerships, smarter policy, and more sustainable jobs

Who We Work With

  • Local and national government

  • Combined authorities and city-regions

  • Corporates and strategic partners

  • Investors and financial institutions

  • Universities, NGOs, and youth organisations

Together, we’re scaling solutions, shaping the future economy — and making the green transition something everyone can be part of.
