Will Drury

Will is Chief Executive Officer of the Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC) at the University of Strathclyde, where he leads one of the UK’s most advanced facilities for accelerating the transition to net zero. His focus is simple, turning innovation into validated technologies for real world deployment across energy, transport, and heat systems.

A Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the IET, and Senior Member of IEEE, Will has built his career at the intersection of technology, industry, and national strategy. He has led major UK innovation programmes at Innovate UK, including Driving the Electric Revolution, and held senior roles at Ricardo working on cutting edge electrified systems for global automotive and aerospace organisations.

He is a key voice in the UK’s energy transition, regularly contributing to national and international discussions, and working with industry, government, and academia to tackle one core challenge: how to move faster from idea to impact at system scale.
