Sam Perry

Sam’s work focuses on raising the profile of environmental action within the labour movement and building the capacity in trade unions to bargain for justice as organisations adapt to the need to decarbonise. He is a commissioner on the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission and chairs the Future Economy of York working group of York Climate Commission, as well as holding various other positions on other advisory panels in the region. He is also a political activist and a climate justice campaigner, with a particular interest in the opportunities of a massive and equitable growth in energy efficiency domestic retrofit.
