Richard Essex
Chair and Director, Surrey Climate Commission
Richard is Chair of the Surrey Climate Commission, which he helped to initiate back in 2019.
The Commission are a Community Interest Company helping to facilitate with other stakeholders a succesful transition to a sustainable society and economy in Surrey.
In doing so they have built a really vibrant network of community groups in the County.
He also sits on Surrey’s Greener Future Board and is a council member of Surrey Chambers of Commerce.
In his other capacity Richard is an Independent Financial Adviser. specialising in sustainable and responsible investment.
He has been at the forefront of promoting sustainable investing and is author of ‘Invest Feelgood Make a Difference’, published in 2014.
