Marcus Saul

Marcus Saul is a renewable energy strategist and project developer focused on community-led transitions to whole energy resilient, sustainable power and thermal systems. He is the founder of IslandPower and a co-developer of the Natural Grid concept, which integrates clean energy, local financing, and resilience planning for communities as well as a co-founder of the International Resilience Network.
His work spans project finance, governance innovation with active initiatives in the Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, and the UK. Marcus is also a leading advocate for the NonDominium model, creating equitable structures that align communities, investors, and operators around long-term energy security and social benefit.
He is a former Fellow of the Institute for Strategy, Resilience and Security at UCL (ISRS@UCL) and an Adjunct Fellow at the University of the South Pacific.
