Dr Lynn Wilson
Director, Circular Design Synergy Limited
Dr Lynn Wilson is a circular design practitioner, researcher, and educator, who completed her PhD at the Adam Smith Business School, the University of Glasgow in 2022 – Cleaning the Loop. Driving Consumer Clothing Circularity, which investigated consumer clothing use and disposal experiences. Dr Wilson is the founder of Circular DS which provides consultancy and training services to businesses transitioning to circular business models and material practices. From 2016 -2107, she was Sector Manager – Manufacturing, Zero Waste Scotland, implementing the Circular Economy workstream, of the National Manufacturing Action Plan. Prior to this role, she was the Sector Manager – Textiles, Circular Economy team at Zero Waste Scotland, contributing to Making Things Last – A Circular Economy Strategy for Scotland (2013-2016). In 2015, she undertook a Churchill Fellowship, spending one month in Japan, researching circular textile heritage, technology, and clothing retail systems to achieve a circular economy. Dr Wilson is a non-executive board member of Architecture and Design Scotland and is a Fellow of the Arts, Commerce and Manufacture (FRSA).
