Afaf Al Raisi

Afaf Al Raisi is a Lecturer in Architectural Engineering at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), Oman. She is currently pursuing the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainability Leadership for the Built Environment at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). As part of the programme, she is a member of a multidisciplinary student team exploring the implementation and scaling of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) in the UK. Alongside teaching, she undertakes research on sustainability in the built environment, with particular interests in building performance, indoor environmental quality, and the delivery of low-carbon, resilient communities. She will commence a PhD in Architecture at the University of Cambridge in October 2026.
