Join us for an interactive session exploring the importance of improving education around food systems and choices in primary schools – and discover the resources available to help you to drive positive change!

Ama Chaney – Grow to School CIC Founder and Director

Grow to School CIC exists to give children greater access to the outside for learning, exploration, and discovery. The organisation works with schools to provide in outdoor learning and food growing programmes that enrich the curriculum, promote healthy eating, and connect students with nature. It’s services also include professional development training and resources for teaching staff. As founder of Grow to School, Ama passionately believes that giving children the opportunity to grow and learn outdoors significantly contributes to their resilience, character and communication skills.

Martin Skingley – ProVeg UK Education Manager

ProVeg UK supports local authorities, multi-academy trusts, and individual schools throughout the UK through its School Plates programme. The team helps school menus become healthier, more sustainable, and save money through menu reviews, plant-based recipe development, and both online and in-person plant-based cooking training with catering staff. Martin has worked in education as a teacher and senior leader for over 15 years. Through educating children about the food they eat, its origins, and its impact on health and the planet, Martin aims to inspire young people to create a better world.
