Women For Sustainability – Festival Launch

Multi-disciplinary, multi-sector action networking.

Thu 12 Jun | Free

17:30 - 20:00

Sheffield

The Showroom Cafe, 15 Peternoster Row, S1 2BX

Working for sustainability is a multi-disciplinary and multi-sector goal. Many of these sectors are male-dominated and many have distinct women’s networking groups. These are incredibly valuable, and the co-founders of this initiative have worked for equality and sat on boards in property, construction, sport and culture and understand the value of these spaces.

This event is free and will be the first of regular meet-ups for women working for sustainability across consultancies, engineering, property, construction, social value, retrofit, data measurement, if you think you should come, you should come! It’s agenda-less and with drinks and chats as we create a space to ask questions, share wins, discuss opportunities or see some friendly faces and get enthused.

It’s for all who identify as women or non-binary. Please feel welcome to come solo. Food and drinks will be available.

Our hosts are Sarah Galligan & Judi Greenwood, Ecofit CIC. Ecofit works across South Yorkshire to deliver projects that decarbonise and builds community wealth through retrofit, community energy projects and behaviour change. Sarah and Judi have worked across social value and regeneration throughout their career and are passionate about the benefits of women-only spaces for enabling serious and not so serious conversations.
